Summary / ObjectiveThe Material Handler, Lettershop will support mail production and ensure all machines have necessary and correct components. The handler will keep the production room neat, organized, and ready for production runs.
Essential Functions- Read and understand the work ticket to provide correct materials to the correct machines.
- Read and understand the production schedule to proactively stage materials for the next job.
- Ensure machines have enough stock items to continue running the job without stopping.
- Remove finished pallets from the letter shop and place them in an identified area as required.
- Remove material from the letter shop when no longer needed and return it to the identified area in the warehouse.
- Remove empty APCs/Roll Carts and return them to the designated area in Digital Print.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Remove recycling bins from the letter shop and load them onto recycling trucks or near the shredder as required.
- Use a pallet jack as the primary equipment for moving materials.
- Perform work with strong quality standards.
- Maintain an organized, safe, and clean work area.
- Effectively use quality control procedures to monitor the quality of the final output.
- Review the schedule for jobs assigned daily and report issues back to the supervisor.
- Follow all plant, department, and work area safety rules and operation procedures.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent education/experience.
- Experience with inventory management.
- Experience safely moving large, heavy pallets.
- Basic computer knowledge.
Not responsible for supervising other employees.
Work EnvironmentIndoor, temperature controlled, production facility.
Physical Demands- Must be able to stand on feet for at least 8 hours per day.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) may be required for specific job functions.
Amsive is a Federal Contractor, and this position may require government security clearance for certain projects.
