SummaryRicoh is seeking a hands‑on, detail‑oriented Sr. Associate Shop Technician to assemble, test, and prepare copiers and printers for delivery. This intermediate‑level role in a production shop environment is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with their hands, performing repetitive tasks, and collaborating in a team environment. The role requires mechanical aptitude, basic computer skills, and the ability to safely lift equipment up to 50 lbs with team assistance.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble and install hardware in copiers and printers according to customer specifications.
- Test and verify equipment functionality using standardized QA checklists before staging and shipping.
- Analyze and troubleshoot equipment issues and perform necessary corrective actions.
- Perform administrative tasks accurately and in a timely manner, including updating WMS and tracking productivity.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Ensure quality control and accountability for all machines delivered to customers.
- Collaborate with other shop personnel for training, troubleshooting, and workflow efficiency.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, training programs, and safety guidelines.
- Safely lift and transport equipment and tools (up to 50 lbs individually, heavier items with team assistance).
- May be exposed to minor cuts, burns, chemical solvents, and physical exertion including stooping, bending, squatting, and kneeling.
- Minimum 2 years of related work experience; mastery of Associate/Shop Technician competencies.
- Basic technical knowledge in mechanical, electronics, and computer systems.
- Ability to follow written instructions and complete tasks independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; professional demeanor in all interactions.
- Team‑oriented, reliable, and able to meet deadlines.
- Physical ability to lift, bend, stoop, squat, and move equipment as required.
- Willingness to work overtime when needed.
- Lift, carry, and move tool cases and equipment up to 50 lbs independently; heavier items with team assistance.
- Move objects on wheels weighing up to 700 lbs.
- Frequent stooping, bending, squatting, kneeling, and standing.
- Work in a warehouse environment with adequate lighting, ventilation, and normal temperature/noise levels.
