Location & Hours

Onsite role located at 605 Territorial Dr Bolingbrook, IL 60440.

The work hours are 5pm - 5am with rotating scheduled weekends.

Summary / Objective

Responsible for operating a high speed processing and finishing system designed for the printing and mailing industry. Transforming large rolls of printed paper into final products such as direct mail, transactional documents, inserts and book blocks.

Essential Functions
  • Operating and setting up Tecnau & Hunkeler finishing lines and traditional cutters and folders in bindery.
  • Enter data into ERP monitoring overall performance, efficiency, and quality.
  • Perform equipment start‑up, shut‑down and preventive maintenance.
  • Sample and monitor product quality coming off the system, making modifications as needed.
  • Troubleshoot finishing line performance and quality problems, correcting them and stabilizing performance as they occur.
  • Replenish materials ongoing as materials are depleted.
  • Maintain production, efficiency and quality records related to the finishing / bindery operation.
  • Supports the manufacture of personal products through a continuous production operation, requiring an understanding of work methods and procedures as well as various binding machines.
  • Work is typically routine, although some discretion may be allowed. Applies limited knowledge and expertise applicable to specialty for the implementation of predominantly short‑term tasks and projects for business needs.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
  • Print & Mail Production Background Familiarity with print workflows, mailpiece formats (letters, flats, postcards), and USPS postal regulations.
  • Machine Operation Experience setting up and running high-speed finishing equipment (inserters, folders, cutters, stackers, unwinders, stitchers, binders).
  • Mechanical Aptitude Ability to troubleshoot jams, misfeeds, or alignment issues. Operators often adjust rollers, knives, perforators, or sensors on the fly.
  • Quality Control Checking for print defects, alignment, correct collation, and address readability. Operators must ensure mail pieces meet postal automation standards.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to document regular activities and e‑mail correspondence.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Strong organizational skills and an ability to multi‑task.
  • Aptitude for accuracy and a meticulous eye for detail.
  • Work independently.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Not responsible for supervising other employees.

Work Environment

Indoor, temperature controlled, production facility.

Physical Demands
  • Must be able to stand on feet for at least 8 hours a day.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Personal Protection Equipment (PPE):
    Certain PPE may be required while performing specific job functions.
Security Clearance

Amsive is a Federal Contractor, and this position may require government security clearance for certain projects.
