Sanitation Technician 2nd Shift (3:30PM - 12AM) Bay State Milling

NATURE AND SCOPEPerforms duties relevant to the Sanitation department and plant operations.
DIMENSIONSPrimarily, taken care of on one shift; however, extra hours are put in as the need arises.
QUALIFICATIONS- Be able to perform all assigned tasks in a safe and timely manner.
- Be willing to work in confined spaces.
- Understand and perform lock out tag out.
- Be able read and comprehend all job related written procedures or verbal instructions.
- Be able to communicate verbally and in written form in English.
- Perform basic math functions, with or without the aid of a calculator.
- Willing to learn, understand, and perform basic mechanics.
- Need to be an independent worker with self-initiative to carry out job functions.
- Be willing to work at heights.
- Work rotating shifts, as needed.
- Work overtime as needed.
The ability to organize, manage and direct the activities of others.
LANGUAGE SKILLSEmployee must have the ability to Speak, Read, Write, and Comprehend instructions and documentation in the English Language.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLSExcellent knowledge in using a full range of statistical and analytical tools and fundamentals.
REASONING ABILITY- Excellent knowledge of sanitary design, sanitation and pest management in food processing.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Excellent knowledge of food manufacturing processes.
- Excellent understanding of food safety.
- Excellent relationship building skills.
- Good experience with government regulatory requirements in the processing of food.
On-going training to enhance performance in position as required.
