As a Senior Quality Assurance Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring product integrity and customer satisfaction. Your responsibilities include performing incoming, in‑process, final, and First Article Inspections (FAIs) while developing and refining structured inspection processes. By maintaining rigorous quality standards, you will help guarantee that every product meets specifications and that customers receive accurate, high‑quality orders.
Job Duties- Lead and execute comprehensive inspections—including incoming, in‑process, final, and FAIs—ensuring adherence to NCS, customer and regulatory standards.
- Oversee and optimize inspection documentation, scrap/rework tracking, and reporting to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop, implement and oversee quality testing, auditing parameters and advanced inspection tools/aides, shipping checklists, etc., to enhance efficiency and reduce errors across the quality process.
- Drive and mentor corrective and preventive action (CAPA) investigations, collaborating cross‑functionally to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions.
- Manage and coordinate RMAs, ensuring timely resolution and maintaining strong customer relationships.
- Contribute strategically to quality system improvements, process standardization, and training of junior inspectors.
- Develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive system for tracking internal defects, providing actionable reports to supervision and management to reduce recurring issues.
- Conduct random audits across all manufacturing processes during shifts to proactively identify and prevent quality deviations.
- Audit staged products prior to packaging operations to ensure compliance with appearance, functionality, and specification standards.
- Perform root cause analysis on non‑conforming products and deliver detailed reports to support corrective and preventive actions.
- Segregate nonconforming material using hold tags and promptly notify supervision for resolution and disposition.
- Stop any process producing non‑conforming material and elevate issues to supervision to prevent further defects.
- Collaborate with operations teams to develop and implement process changes that positively impact product quality and reduce defect rates.
- Maintain accurate records of all quality operations, audits, and corrective actions for compliance and traceability.
- Ensure adherence to OSHA, EPA, local regulatory requirements, and company safety policies at all times.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support evolving business needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and five years’ experience in a related quality position.
- Background must include experience in a quality position with manufacturing processes in a production environment.
- Solid, proven experience developing quality audits, quality control and quality inspections tied to measurable goals.
- Good understanding of BOM levels and structures.
- Able to read mechanical parts drawings.
- Experience with root cause analysis, corrective/preventive actions (CAPA), and nonconformance management.
- Knowledge of inspection methodology and techniques.
- Must be highly organized, self‑motivated, and able to work independently.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills for identifying and resolving quality issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with operations and management teams.
- Ability to work assigned hours plus overtime as needed.
- Ability to lift light to medium weight up to 75 lbs.
- May stand for prolonged periods of time.
- May stoop, bend, reach, walk; perform repetitive motions using hands to grasp, push, pull or finish manipulations.
Compensation: $26 - $36/hour
