THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE

Ulta Beauty is seeking a highly skilled, professional, and discreet Close Protection Officer (CPO) to join our corporate security team. The CPO will provide comprehensive protective services and logistical support for designated company executives. This role requires overseeing and executing all aspects of personal and operational security for a company executive, with a fast-paced, high-visibility global scope. The ideal candidate is an experienced security professional with a background in executive protection, law enforcement, or military special operations with specific responsibilities to personal protection.

This role demands exceptional judgment, a high degree of integrity, and the ability to operate effectively in dynamic and often high-stress environments while maintaining the utmost confidentiality. The role will consistently collaborate with executive admins, security operations center, business continuity, and other business‑critical partners.

YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH THESE GOALS BY
  • Close Protection:
    Provide armed close protection services for the executive at the corporate offices (as needed), during travel, and at public/private events.
  • Strategy and Operations:
    Lead and manage the principal's comprehensive security strategy, including threat intelligence, situational awareness, travel risk management, and emergency response.
  • Threat & Risk Assessment:
    Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks and threats to the executive. Conduct regular vulnerability assessments of residences, offices, and travel itineraries.
  • Advance Planning & Logistics:
    Plan and execute all security logistics for domestic and international travel. This includes conducting advance work and site surveys, analysing routes, coordinating secure transportation, and preparing detailed security plans.
  • Protective Intelligence:
    Gather and analyse intelligence related to potential threats. Continuously monitor global threat landscapes and open‑source and proprietary intelligence streams for information relevant to the principal's safety.
  • Liaison & Coordination:
    Act as the primary security liaison, coordinating with internal teams such as administrative staff, security operations center, business continuity and travel, as well as local and federal law enforcement agencies, venue security, and third‑party security vendors.
  • Emergency Response:
    Serve as the first responder to any medical or security emergency and perform appropriate medical aid as required. Maintain proficiency in emergency medical aid (CPR/AED/First Aid) and security incident response protocols.
  • Administrative Duties:
    Supervise data entries and reports associated with executive protection. Ensure that incident reports, expense reports, and site survey reports are submitted in a timely fashion. Supervise the maintenance of protective operations and communications equipment.
THE ESSENTIAL FOR SUCCESS
  • Experience:
    • A minimum of 8+ years of professional experience in a related field, with at least 5 years dedicated to executive protection.
    • Applicable backgrounds include Corporate Executive Protection, Federal or State Law Enforcement (e.g., US Secret Service, Department of State Security, FBI) or Military Special Operations all of which planned and executed protective services.
  • Licensing &

    Certifications:
    • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and completion of a recognised defensive/evasive driving course.
    • Valid concealed carry permit. HR218/LEOSA qualification is highly desirable.
    • Current certification in CPR/First Aid/AED. Emergency medical training (EMT, TCCC, etc.) is required.
    • Must have a valid US Passport with Global Entry.
  • Skills & Abilities:
    • Demonstrable experience in conducting advance planning and threat assessments.
    • Bilingual in Spanish and English is highly desired.
    • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally in corporate and social settings.
