Video/Technician Life
- Hourly Pay: $20.00 per hour
- Pay every week
- Schedule:
Monday – Friday, First Shift 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
- On the Job Paid Training

- High school diploma or equivalent
- One (1) year or more mechanical and/or customer service experience required
- Advanced knowledge of truck and trailer equipment
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet Ryder’s driving qualifications
- CDL preferred or ability to obtain CDL
- Ability to work in an outside environment for unit acceptance, exercising, lot management, and customer pick‑ups
- Customer focus and support
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Organized and capable of multi‑tasking
- Light computer skills (tablet for checking/inspecting units, e‑mail)
- Knowledge of truck and trailer equipment (advanced required)
- Must be able to drive Ryder vehicles
- Must pass a Ryder drug test, DOT physical, Ryder road test, and Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check (including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for last 3 years)
Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification, motor vehicle records check, a road test, and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.
Responsibilities- Exercise trucks/tractors to assure equipment is road‑worthy and ready for sale
- Guarantee that customer units are ready for delivery or transport from the UTC without issues
- Transport equipment around the yard, ensuring it is orderly, organized, and presentable
- Perform light mechanical work such as jump‑starts, battery installation, fluid management while troubleshooting mechanical issues
- Coordinate and communicate with local Ryder shops or third‑party service providers for repairs
- Ensure equipment is clean and presentable
- Submit weekly equipment exercise data via Teams
- Special projects as assigned
- Performs other duties as assigned
