Warehouse Forklift Operator – 1st Shift (Reach Truck)
Ryder System, Inc. is urgently hiring Reach Truck forklift operators in Bolingbrook, Illinois. The role involves daily warehouse functions such as loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation and cycle counting, with a focus on accurate picking and packing, audit, and load/unload duties. It requires working a first shift Monday‑Friday 6:00 am‑2:30 pm and using various equipment including stand‑up reach trucks, sit‑down forklifts, cherry/order pickers, and walk‑rider.
Pay is hourly at $20.00 per hour with weekly direct deposits.

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum one year of related warehouse/powered industrial truck experience preferred
- Valid forklift operator’s license
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Professional relationship building across all levels of the organization
- Highly thorough, dependable, punctual, and with a good attendance record
- Minimal supervision required
- High initiative and accuracy, even under pressure
- Ability to lift or push/pull up to 35 lbs; stand for long periods
- Adherence to health and safety methods
- Available for a flexible schedule across multiple shifts
- Detail oriented with excellent follow‑up practices
- Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation and cycle counting
- Maintain performance measurement guidelines of the contract
- Ensure accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products, and loading/unloading of trucks
- Handle warehouse paperwork such as picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.
- Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hours
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification, motor vehicle records check, road test, and background checks.
