- Shift: 2nd shift – Monday to Friday 4:00 pm to 2:30 am
- Pay: $20 per hour
- Requirement:
Experience with EPJ & Reach truck
Operate forklifts safely and efficiently; handle freight inbound or outbound, maintain warehouse area, load/unload trucks and trailers, ensure accurate staging, and provide material handling services for shipping and receiving. Work from warehouse operation sheets using a forklift to pick customer orders and load trailers, following all safety policies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Assist the Warehouse Manager in ensuring efficient operations.
- Operate sit‑down forklifts and/or walkie rider.
- Use computers and handheld RF equipment.
- Load and unload RJW trucks/trailers safely and efficiently, including outside carrier equipment.
- Work 10–12 hour shifts when necessary and handle heights.
- Pick and move stock weighing 1 lb to 50 lb repeatedly.
- Ensure shipments are correctly staged and loaded.
- Maintain orderly stacking and good housekeeping in the warehouse.
- Process outbound cross‑dock freight as needed.
- Store stock properly and move product into storage racks.
- Pick customer orders and load trailers from warehouse operation sheets.
- Verify shipment accuracy against paperwork for all deliveries.
- Complete documentation and paperwork accurately.
- Operate forklifts safely, following OSHA regulations and RJW safety policies.
- Complete daily forklift maintenance inspections.
- Handle customer products properly and orderly.
- Check deliveries for poor packing or damage and report issues.
- Report accidents or incidents immediately to the Shift Supervisor.
- Spot trailers to maintain efficient yard organization.
- Keep dock doors clear of debris or snow.
- Perform other tasks assigned by manager.
- Show sense of urgency and accountability with limited supervision.
- Use computers and handheld RF equipment.
- Read, write, and understand English.
- Show strong attention to detail and quality.
- Communicate clearly and resolve problems.
- Be flexible for overtime and shift coverage.
- Have PC skills.
- Have major experience with sit‑down forklifts/EPJs.
- Build pallets with stock and break down stock for independent orders.
- Cross‑dock freight processing experience.
- Work in a fast‑paced warehouse.
- 3–6 months of forklift driving experience using sit‑down forklifts and electric pallet jacks.
- Good, stable work record.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Warehousing certifications a plus.
