Warehouse Material Handler 1st Shift

Ryder is immediately hiring for Warehouse Associates in Bolingbrook, Illinois.

• Hourly Pay: $19.00 per hour.
• Schedule:
  
  First Shift, Monday – Friday, 6:00 am – 2:30 pm.
• Pay Frequency:
  Weekly.
• Position:
  Warehouse Forklift Operator / Driver.

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Six months of related warehouse experience required; one year or more preferred.
• Knowledge of powered industrial trucks (stand‑up and sit‑down forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, etc.) and the ability to operate and maintain them.
• Experience operating manual or automated warehouse equipment (e.g., packaging lines) – intermediate skill preferred.
• Powered industrial truck certification required.
• Ability to read and perform basic mathematics in English for safety, work instructions, and policies.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Ability to input data into the WMS computer system.
• Flexibility to work overtime as assigned.
• Strong communication skills; ability to build professional relationships at all organizational levels.
• Team player with the ability to work independently.
• Highly organized, multi‑tasking, and excellent time‑management skills.
• Detail oriented with strong follow‑up practices.

• Package, kit, and assemble orders and materials.
• Load and unload inbound and outbound trailers; ensure accurate scanning.
• Train dock employees on new procedures and investigate/resolve scanning issues.
• Maintain facility security at shift end, investigate issues, and perform housekeeping.
• Perform picking and packing duties; inspect for product or container damage.
• Execute material moves as per policies and procedures.
• Participate in workgroup and team activities to improve warehouse operations.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.
