Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) is recruiting a Credentialing Specialist to join our Credentialing Department as a member of our Medical Staff Services team.

CMH is made up of 34 primary and specialty clinics, 6 long-term care facilities and 1 residential care facility. Offering acute care, emergency services, ambulatory care, pharmacies, walk-in clinics, surgeries, addiction recovery, rehab therapies and more, CMH has its community covered!

About the department:

The Credentialing Department reviews and adds credentials such as education, training, license, certifications, or experience for physicians and other health staff members.

A typical day will include:

Ensuring, in a timely manner, that all physicians and allied health staff meet the requirements necessary to obtain and maintain medical staff membership and/or privileges at hospital facilities and clinics and/or managed care network participation.

  • Demonstrating attention to detail, organizational skills, computer skills, multi-tasking abilities, analytical skills and decision-making skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of leadership and providers with courtesy
  • Must be a self-starter to work without constant supervision while following set procedures
  • Ability to remain calm in pressure situations and handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Must be flexible and able to cope with interruptions
  • Must work as a member of a team to actively and consistently contribute to department operations and communications

The position is full-time days, 8:00 a.m.

- 4:30 p.m.

Job Requirements:
  • Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in health care related field or nursing degree
  • Experience:

    3 years experience preferred in a related healthcare background
