Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) in Bolivar, MOis hiring a Licensed Occupational Therapist to work in our Outpatient Pediatrics Department. CMH is made up of 34 primary and specialty clinics, 6 Long-Term Care facilities and 1 residential care facility. Offering acute care, emergency services, ambulatory care, pharmacies, walk-in clinics, surgeries, addiction recovery, therapies and more, CMH has its community covered!

About the department: The Rehab Services Department works to promote the restoration of the functional abilities of individuals with physical, cognitive, sensorimotor, and / or perceptual impairment and communication impairment by the use of physical therapy, occupational therapy, and / or speech language therapy treatment.

A typical day includes: Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating occupational therapy treatments for patients by utilizing equipment, supplies, and procedures appropriate to achieve intended outcomes.

• Identifies patients appropriate for rehabilitative therapies
• Establishes an effective plan of care using appropriate skills for evaluation and screening
• Develops and implements treatment plans that lead to optimal patient outcomes
• Communicates effectively with patients, care team members, physicians, and others
• Writes clear, concise, legible documentation that includes appropriate information for care planning

Job Requirements:

• Education:
  
  Graduation from an accredited college with a Master's Degree in Occupational Therap
• Experience:
  
  New graduates welcome, 1 year of experience preferred
• Skills:
  
  Problem-solving, planning and time-management, interpersonal communication and listening skills
• Licensure/Certification:
  
  Licensed by the Missouri Board of Registration for the Healing Arts;
  
  Current State of Missouri Occupational Therapist License
• Physical:
  Prolonged periods of standing and walking, ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. with patient and/or equipment assistance, ability to carry up to 35 lbs., ability to work independently and with frequent distractions

The position is full-time days, 8am-4:30p.m.
