Registered Dietitian

Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) in Bolivar, MO is hiring a Dietitian to join our staff to care for patients in the Diabetes Education Center! CMH is made up of 34 primary and specialty clinics, 6 long‑term care facilities and 1 residential care facility. Offering acute care, emergency services, ambulatory care, pharmacies, walk‑in clinics, surgeries, addiction recovery, rehab therapies and more, CMH has its community covered!

The CMH Diabetic Education Center provides various services to help patients improve their nutritional intake. Services are tailored to each patient’s individual needs.

Providing nutritional care and education to diabetes patients and others.

• Completes nutrition assessments and consults in a timely manner, including comprehensive assessments per industry standards
• Conducts follow‑ups to track patient progress and outcomes
• Provides timely nutrition education and counseling to patients and family members to optimize nutrition compliance and quality of life
• Utilizes equipment, supplies, and procedures as applicable to scope of practice and patient demographics served

• Education:
  
  Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelors Degree in Dietetics and completion of an approved dietetic internship or coordinated undergraduate program; or Registered Nurse
• Experience:
  
  Minimum of one (1) year of experience in diabetes self‑management education OR in an endocrinology clinic setting
• Licensure/Certification:
  Registered with the Commission of Dietetic Registration;
  State of Missouri Licensed Dietitian, or Registered Nurse licensed in the state of Missouri;
  Certified Diabetes and Education Care Specialist, or must obtain within 2 years of employment

PRN, days; some nights and weekends may be required
