Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) is hiring a Scrub Surgical Technician to join our team in the Operating Roomat the main hospital in Bolivar, Missouri! CMH is made up of 34 primary and specialty clinics, 6 long-term care facilities, and 1 residential care facility. Offering acute care, emergency services, ambulatory care, pharmacies, walk-in clinics, surgeries, addiction recovery, rehab therapies and more, CMH has its community covered!
About the department:CMH has 23 active surgeons who perform an average of 372 surgeries each month, and theOR consists of 6 out-patient, 3 in-patient, and 1 C-section designated suites that run 4 teams of staff each day. Surgeons work to educate, train, and develop staff to operate fluidly together.
A typical day includes:Having an understanding of the procedures being performed to anticipate the needs of the surgeons,passingappropriate instruments, supplies, and equipment to surgeons while the procedure is underway, and maintaining a safe and sterile work environment at all times.
- Prepares surgical suite prior to procedure
- Sets up steriletable with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications/solutions needed for procedures
- Passes instruments and other toolsto surgeons during procedures
- Prepares sterile dressing, andsecures dressing after incision closure
- Cleans and prepares instruments for terminal sterilization
- Assists in prepping room for the next patient
Job Requirements:
Education: Associate Degree in Applied Science Surgical Technology preferred; high school diploma required
Experience:1 year Scrub Tech experience preferred; LPN or RN experience also accepted
Skills:Communication, teamwork, attention to detail, and abilityto work in a fast-paced environment
Licensure/Certification:Must be certified, or seek to obtain NBSTSA certification within 36 months of employment; or NCCT orNRSTCertified Surgery Tech;or hold aLPN or RN license

Full-time working 4 10-hour shifts each week - 7am-5:30pm
