Medical Technologist & Lab Technician
- Schedule - Shift - Hours PRN - Evenings - 10:00am - 8:30 pm
Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) is recruiting aMedical Lab Technologist for the lab at our main hospital in Bolivar.
CMH is made up of 34 primary and specialty clinics, 6 long-term care facilities and 1 residential care facility. Offering acute care, emergency services, ambulatory care, pharmacies, walk‑in clinics, surgeries, addiction recovery, rehab therapies and more, CMH has its community covered!

The main hospital Laboratory Department offers a fast-paced work environment that is staffed 24/7 to provide diagnostic laboratory services as requested by attending physicians and providers. You’ll work as a member of a team and have opportunities to grow as each team member is expected to help inall areas of the lab, including chemistry, hematology, and serology.
A typical day includes:Performing laboratory functions, specimen testing, and quality control as per policy and procedures utilizing equipment, supplies, and procedures appropriate to the ages of the patients served for all subsequent duties.
- Receives written requisitions from physicians for laboratory tests
- Calibrates, maintains, and operates equipment necessary to perform tests
- Reportstests to areas designated in a timely manner
- Performs daily surveillance of test results, work records, and quality control in the department under supervision
PRN between 10am and 8:30pm, and working up to 20 hours every 2 weeks.
Job Requirements:- Education:
Bachelor's or Associate's Degree with applicable experience to obtain ASCP or AMT certification - Experience:
1 year of experience preferred - Skills:
Attention to detail, problem-solving, teamwork - Licensure/Certification:
ASCP or AMT license/certification required - Physical:
Prolonged periods of sittingand standing; ability to lift and move up to 25 lbs. on an infrequent basis
