Job Name: Granulator

Position Type: Full Time, Part Time, Temp to Hire

Reporting Structure: Reports to Shift Supervisor

Description: The Granulator Utilizes Granulators to Produce Useable Compound from Generated Scrap

• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required.
• Education and/or Experience - High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Language Skills - Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other FEC employees.
• Mathematical Skills - Ability to perform basic algebra in basic units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Reasoning Ability - Ability to apply commonsense and the understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving few concrete variables in standardized situations.

• Moves scrap material form storage area to granulator with forklift.
• Feeds plastic scrap into automatic granulator machine, lifting by hand.
• Maintains integrity of compounds by keeping separate non-compatible scrap.
• Cleans out granulator between compounds using lockout/tag out procedures.
• Performs minor machine maintenance such as cleaning or oiling.
• Moves granulated compound to storage area.
• Keeps compounds in storage area consolidated and neat.
