Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) is recruiting a licensed Speech Language Pathologist to join the team at our main hospital in Bolivar, MO. CMH is made up of 34 primary and specialty clinics, 6 long‑term care facilities and 1 residential care facility. Offering acute care, emergency services, ambulatory care, pharmacies, walk‑in clinics, surgeries, addiction recovery, rehab therapies and more, CMH has its community covered!

Equipped with specialized technologies, including Balance Master, Vital Stim, and Anodyne, the Rehab Services Department works closely with physicians to provide acute and outpatient physical, occupational, and speech therapy services to restore the functional abilities of patients. Emphasis is placed on collaboration and teamwork, and new therapists are encouraged to grow their skills through professional development and mentorship. The department routinely finishes within the 90th percentile or better in the nation for patient satisfaction.
Atypical day includes
Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating speech‑language therapy treatments for patients by utilizing equipment, supplies, and procedures appropriate to achieve intended outcomes.
- Identifies patients appropriate for rehabilitative therapies
- Establishes an effective plan of care using appropriate skills for evaluation and screening
- Develops and implements treatment plans that lead to optimal patient outcomes
- Communicates effectively with patients, care team members, physicians, and others
- Writes clear, concise, legible documentation that includes appropriate information for care planning
- Education:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology - Experience:
New graduates welcome, 1 year of experience preferred - Skills:
Problem‑solving, planning and time‑management, verbal and non‑verbal communication, basic computer skills, ability to work independently, and listening skills - Licensure/Certification:
Licensed by the Missouri Board of Registration for the Healing Arts;
Current State of Missouri Speech Language Pathologist License - Physical:
Physical stamina to sit for extended periods, walk and move around frequently, and lift up to 20 lbs.
PRN working 16 hours every 2 weeks.
