Datalogic is looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst to support our data analytics and business intelligence initiatives.
Job Description
The BI Data Engineer is responsible for building and maintaining the data infrastructure that supports business intelligence and data analytics activities. This includes designing, constructing, and maintaining the systems and architectures that allow large volumes of data to be processed and stored, such as databases and large‑scale processing systems.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement efficient and robust architectures for handling big data, including appropriate storage solutions, data warehouses, and data lakes.
Develop data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into the data storage systems, ensuring data consistency, quality, and availability.
Manage databases and data warehouses, ensuring performance, scalability, and security; optimize queries, indexes, and data models for efficient data retrieval and storage.
Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to provide the data they need for analysis and reporting, understanding stakeholder requirements and creating data sets that meet those needs.
Implement processes and tools to ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency, including data validation, cleansing, and monitoring.
Work cross‑functionally with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to translate data requirements into technical solutions; effective communication is essential.
Stay updated on the latest technologies and best practices in data engineering to continuously improve systems and processes.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
Languages:
Italian (fluent), English (fluent); strong written and verbal communication skills.
At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, with at least 1 year in a data‑related role such as data analyst, data scientist, or junior data engineer.

Data warehousing: SAP HANA, Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, Google Big Query.

Azure Data Factory, Talend, Microsoft SSIS.
BI tools:
Power BI, Qlik View, Looker, SAP Business Objects.
Cloud services:
Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), especially data‑related services like Azure Synapse Analytics.
Data modeling concepts and techniques.
Analytical thinking/problem‑solving and collaboration skills.
Continuous learning: stay current with the latest BI and data engineering trends through blogs, forums, webinars, and conferences.
