Software Procurement Specialist

Join JMC Group, part of Vection Technologies, and play a key role in driving the selection, evaluation, and procurement of software, SaaS platforms, AI solutions, and digital services across the Group. Reporting directly to the Head of Procurement, you will be responsible for identifying the most suitable software solutions, leading commercial negotiations, managing software vendors, and ensuring that technology investments deliver business value while complying with company procurement procedures and governance.

This role combines procurement expertise, software evaluation, supplier management, commercial negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration with a clear objective: optimize software investments, reduce licensing costs, mitigate procurement risks, and support the company's digital transformation initiatives.

The Role
As Software Procurement Specialist, you will act as the central procurement point for software acquisition across the organization. You will work closely with IT, Engineering, Business Units, Operations, Finance, Legal, and external software vendors to evaluate solutions, manage procurement activities, negotiate commercial agreements, and support software implementation throughout the entire procurement lifecycle. Beyond purchasing software, you will ensure that every solution is commercially competitive, technically suitable, scalable, compliant with internal standards, and aligned with business objectives.
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for a structured and analytical professional who can combine procurement discipline with a strong understanding of software, SaaS platforms, AI tools, and digital services. You should be comfortable evaluating how a software solution works, asking the right technical and commercial questions, and comparing different vendors based on functionality, integration, scalability, cost, risk, and business value.
You are not expected to be a software developer, but you must be able to understand technical requirements, challenge vendor proposals, coordinate demos and POCs, and support internal stakeholders in selecting the most suitable solution. You are commercially minded, detail-oriented, and confident in managing negotiations, licensing models, supplier relationships, and procurement procedures in a structured and compliant way.
What You Will Do
Software Sourcing & Vendor Management
• Identify, evaluate, and manage software vendors for enterprise applications, SaaS platforms, AI solutions, cloud services, APIs, cybersecurity, and productivity tools.
• Conduct market research to identify emerging technologies and innovative software solutions.
• Build and maintain long-term strategic relationships with software vendors and partners.
• Drive supplier performance, commercial value, and continuous improvement initiatives. Software Evaluation & Selection
• Lead software evaluations from requirements definition through final supplier selection.
• Assess functional capabilities, technical architecture, scalability, interoperability, licensing models, and total cost of ownership.
• Support stakeholders in selecting the most appropriate software solution based on business and technical requirements.
• Recommend technology solutions that align with business objectives, operational needs, and procurement strategy. Commercial Procurement
• Lead RFQs, RFPs, commercial negotiations, and software procurement processes.
• Negotiate pricing models, licensing agreements, SaaS subscriptions, licensing structures, maintenance contracts, renewals, and support services.
• Deliver measurable cost optimization while maximizing commercial value and supplier performance. Procurement Governance & Compliance
• Ensure all software acquisitions comply with internal procurement policies and approval processes.
• Coordinate procurement documentation, supplier onboarding, NDAs, contracts, licensing compliance, and procurement records.
