Credit Controller

Sharp Consultancy is working with a successful business in Barlborough that is looking to appoint an experienced Credit Controller on an initial six-month contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident, proactive credit control professional who can hit the ground running, take ownership of their workload and make an immediate impact within a busy finance team.

Working as part of an established finance team, you will be responsible for managing outstanding debt, maintaining customer relationships and helping to ensure cash flow remains on track.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Proactively chasing overdue debt by telephone and email.

• Managing your own ledger and prioritising outstanding accounts.

• Building strong relationships with customers to resolve payment queries and disputes.

• Allocating cash and keeping customer accounts up to date.

• Investigating discrepancies and working closely with internal teams to resolve issues.

• Providing updates on aged debt and escalating issues where necessary.

We are looking for someone who is confident, commercially aware and comfortable picking up the phone to have proactive conversations about outstanding payments.

You'll ideally have:

• Previous experience in a Credit Control or Accounts Receivable role.

• A confident and professional telephone manner, with the ability to challenge customers when necessary.

• The ability to hit the ground running with minimal training or supervision.

• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy ledger.

• A proactive approach to resolving queries and collecting outstanding debt.

• Availability is key for this opportunity. As this is a six-month contract, candidates must be immediately available or working to a short notice period.

• Salary of up to £32,000.
