Shift: Days A temporary opportunity is available for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver based in Chesterfield. You will support the safe and timely movement of freight, working professionally with customers, transport teams and delivery locations. Its services include delivery tracking, ETA notifications, evening deliveries, tail-lift deliveries and storage options, helping customers manage their consignments effectively.

Key responsibilities Drive HGV Class 1 vehicles safely and responsibly Complete collections and deliveries within agreed time frames Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects Secure loads correctly and follow loading and unloading procedures Complete delivery paperwork and electronic records accurately Communicate courteously with customers and transport colleagues Follow drivers hours, tachograph, health and safety requirements Represent the business professionally at collection and delivery points Skills and qualifications Valid HGV Class 1 licence, Category CE Driver CPC qualification and digital tachograph card Previous commercial driving experience Good knowledge of road safety and drivers hours regulations Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious approach Professional communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently and manage delivery schedules Flexibility to complete physical loading, unloading or delivery duties where required Benefits £18 per hour Paid every Wednesday Opportunity to be visible to local employers Day shifts Temporary work in the Chesterfield area If you are a dependable HGV Class 1 Driver looking for temporary day work, apply today.
