Location: Bolton

Oxford Learning Bolton is looking for part-time High School Math & Science Teacher‑tutors to work in our local learning centre. The role is ideal for individuals who love mathematics and science, enjoy teaching, and want to help students succeed.

  • Employment type:

    Part time
  • Pay: $17.00 to $18.00 per hour
  • Schedule:

    After‑school and evening hours Monday‑Thursday, 4:00 pm–8:00 pm;
    Saturday mornings 9:30 am–12:30 pm. A commitment until the end of the term in June is preferred, with the possibility of continuing into the summer.
  • Location:

    Oxford Learning Bolton
    , 7‑1 Queensgate Blvd, Bolton, ON. In‑person only. Applicants must be able to commute to this location; relocation packages not available.
  • Full lessons are pre‑planned; no lesson‑planning required.
  • Vulnerable sector screening mandatory.
Responsibilities
  • Teach up to three students at a time at different levels.
  • Follow Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies.
  • Fill in post‑lesson notes and complete daily student‑communication updates.
  • Maintain a friendly and professional manner at all times.
  • Work directly with students as an Interactive Coach.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification in a relevant field.
  • Fourth‑year university students with extensive tutoring experience considered.
  • Teaching certification an asset.
  • Good knowledge of Grades 9‑12 math and science curriculum, including Advanced Functions, Algebra, Trigonometry, Calculus, Vectors, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
  • Some experience teaching or tutoring math at a Grade 9‑12 (or equivalent) level.
  • Strong English written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong math skills and ability to guide students’ understanding.
  • Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time.
  • Must reside in or within a short commute of the Bolton area.
