Transportation Development Coordinator

Elevate community planning efforts as a Transportation Development Coordinator for the Town of Caledon. Your expertise in traffic studies and transportation designs is vital for seamless development applications.

Reporting to the Manager of Transportation Engineering, this coordinator role emphasizes traffic investigations, customer service, and compliance with standards. You will review and comment on transportation-related studies, ensuring alignment with corporate and provincial guidelines, while supporting major planning initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review transportation studies for development applications

• Analyze and formulate comments on impact studies

• Provide feedback on signal operations and pavement markings

• Liaise with stakeholders and attend public meetings

• Assist in coordinating the Town’s Transportation Master Plan

Requirements:

• Post-secondary degree in Transportation Engineering or Planning

• 3-5 years of experience in Traffic Engineering or Planning

• Familiarity with Synchro, EMME, and VISSIM software

• Knowledge of municipal planning process and engineering standards

• Strong analytical and communication skills
