Salary: $100,000 -$150,000

Husky Technologies™ is a global leader in the design and manufacture of high-performance injection molding systems and automated manufacturing solutions. Engineers at Husky work on new product development projects, designing complex electrical systems for automated machinery used worldwide.
The Senior Designer, Development (Electrical) will be a key contributor to these product development teams, responsible for designing and delivering robust, safe and reliable electrical systems – from concept through validation and release to manufacturing. Key Responsibilities- Understand design requirements including business needs, customer discussions, internal standards, and industry regulations and propose product definition
- Solve technical problems including conflicting requirements, system reliability, cost constraints, and manufacturability challenges
- Mitigate risks through failure mode analysis, risk assessment, design adjustments, and validation test planning
- Ensure machinery safety and electrical safety are addressed following North American and International standards
- Lead the design of complete designs for systems for automated machinery
- Bring expertise in electrical design in the team -- power system sizing and protection, servo system selection and sizing, control circuit design, 3D modeling of electrical equipment and cables on the machine, and in cabinets
- Utilize familiarity with controls, mechanical design, and machinery to leverage experts in each area of technical design
