Senior Planner for Development Applications

Join the Town of Caledon as a Senior Planner, overseeing significant development projects. Your planning expertise will guide both policy and community improvement efforts.

In this influential role, you will report to the Manager, Development & Design while managing major development applications. You will collaborate with multiple agencies, provide planning opinions, and mentor Junior Planners. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage Official Plan and Zoning By-law Amendments

• Conduct site inspections and chair regular coordination meetings

• Represent the Town at Ontario Land Tribunal with necessary documentation

• Prepare comprehensive reports and planning recommendations

• Implement process improvements in planning applications

Requirements:

• Degree in Planning or related field

• At least five years of land use planning experience

• Member of the Ontario Professional Planners Institute preferred

• Profound understanding of planning legislation and policies

• Exceptional problem-solving and communication abilities
