The Role We are currently searching for a dynamic Talent Acquisition Specialist reporting to the Manager, Talent Acquisition. This vacancy is a 12-month, full-time contract opportunity. As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will play a key role in attracting, engaging, and hiring top talent across a diverse range of functions in support of both The Beer Store and Brewers Distributor Ltd.
(BDL). In this fast-paced, hands-on role, you will manage full-cycle recruitment for corporate, operations, and field-based positions, while supporting high-volume hiring initiatives and strategic talent acquisition programs. Working closely with hiring managers and leaders across Ontario and Western Canada, you will serve as a trusted talent advisor, delivering an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience throughout the recruitment process. You will also contribute to recruitment projects, employer branding initiatives, hiring events, and talent acquisition systems and processes, helping to strengthen, evolve, and drive the overall talent strategy.
Location Our Corporate Office is located in Bolton, ON. We offer a hybrid work model with visits into the office a minimum of three times per week and on an as-needed basis depending on the role and function.
What You’ll Be Doing Full cycle recruitment for non-union full time permanent and contract positions. This includes creating and posting job vacancies, pre-screening, interviewing, conducting references, selection, and offer presentation and negotiation
Supporting part time union recruitment in logistics and retail
Support Recruitment Campaigns, typically for Summer Students, Retail Store Managers and Warehouse Workers. Must be able to lead these initiatives if required
Conduct behavioural and technical telephone and in-person interviews to assess candidate’s ability to succeed in open positions. Some interviews will need to be conducted at a site-specific location within retail stores or distribution centres across Ontario
