We are seeking an experienced and hands-on IT Manager to lead our technology operations, infrastructure, and support services. This role is responsible for managing a team, overseeing IT systems, driving projects, and maintaining a secure, reliable technology environment. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership experience, deep Microsoft 365 E5 expertise, and a willingness to contribute directly to day-to-day operations when needed.
Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop the IT team, fostering a high-performance culture
- Conduct regular employee performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching
- Manage workloads, priorities, and resource allocation across the team
- Oversee helpdesk operations to ensure timely and effective user support
- Participate in hands‑on technical work when required, especially during critical deadlines
- Maintain and improve IT documentation standards and processes
- Manage IT asset lifecycle including procurement, tracking, and disposal
- Lead and deliver IT projects from planning through execution
- Establish and manage relationships with external vendors and service providers
- Evaluate vendor performance, contracts, and service levels
- Ensure implementation and ongoing management of security best practices
- Oversee systems related to MFA, endpoint security, and identity management
- Contribute to disaster recovery planning and business continuity strategies
- Maintain awareness and oversight of network infrastructure and security camera systems
- Oversee administration and maintenance of Windows Servers, VMware, workstations and storage systems
- Oversee administration of network infrastructure and security camera systems
- Microsoft 365 E5 ecosystem including:
- Purview
- Teams (Conferencing and Phone systems)
- Minimum 5 years of IT management experience
- Leading technical teams
- Managing helpdesk operations
- Delivering IT projects
- Managing documentation and IT assets
- Building and maintaining vendor relationships
- Strong understanding of:
- Cybersecurity principles
- Disaster recovery planning
- Willingness and ability to take a hands‑on approach to technical work when needed
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to balance strategic planning with operational execution
- Ability to work in the office 5 days a week
- Ability to address emergency issues after hours/weekends
- Occasional travel required within Canada and the United States
