Your role will enhance internal staff capabilities.
This internship position is set for the Fall 2026 and Winter 2027 terms, reporting to the Supervisor of Data and Applications. Ideal candidates are those in Information Technology, Geography, or related fields with up to 3 years of GIS experience. You will manage internal GIS requests and ensure efficient documentation practices alongside IT staff.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide initial GIS support via calls and emails
• Resolve basic GIS problems for staff users
• Update and create documentation for processes
• Log and oversee internal support requests
• Install and configure hardware at various locations
Requirements:
• Student in a relevant post-secondary program
• Familiarity with GIS tools, especially ESRI products
• Basic IT proficiency, including MS Office
• Strong teamwork and communication abilities
• Capability to follow established procedures
