Parks Maintenance Specialist

Join the Town of Caledon as a Parks Maintenance Specialist, where you will ensure the upkeep of parks and public spaces. Engage in diverse maintenance tasks while operating essential equipment.

Reporting to the Parks Supervisor, you will oversee maintenance operations throughout parks and streetscapes in Caledon. Key responsibilities include grass cutting, waste management, and operating light equipment such as tractors and mowers.

Your role will also involve snow removal during the winter months and leading TFTs or students as directed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee park maintenance operations across facilities and landscapes

• Operate light trucks, tractors, mowers, and chainsaws

• Maintain equipment through preventative maintenance measures

• Implement traffic control plans when needed

• Perform sidewalk snow removal duties during winter

Requirements:

• Grade 12 education or equivalent required

• Post-secondary diploma in a related field preferred

• Valid Restricted Class 'A' driver’s license with clean record

• Experience in landscape maintenance and equipment operation

• Strong communication and organizational skills
