Caledon Parks Maintenance Worker

Assist in maintaining the beautiful parks of Caledon as a Parks Maintenance Worker. You will perform critical upkeep tasks to keep public spaces clean and inviting.

In this role under the Parks Supervisor, your duties will include executing maintenance operations across parks and facilities. You will manage responsibilities like grass cutting, litter removal, and snow clearing during winter. Proficiency in equipment handling, like tree chippers and mowers, is essential, and you might lead a team of TFTs or students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out maintenance operations in parks and street environments

• Operate light equipment including mowers and chainsaws

• Conduct preventative maintenance on park equipment

• Implement traffic control as needed

• Manage snow removal efforts on sidewalks in winter

Requirements:

• Completion of grade 12 or equivalent

• Post-secondary education in a related field is an asset

• Valid Restricted Class 'A' driver’s license needed

• Experience with equipment operation and landscape maintenance

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
