OverviewWeishaupt Design Group is seeking a Seasonal Grounds Labourer to join our team for the summer, based in the Caledon area. The ideal candidate is self-motivated with a strong interest in horticulture and the ability to work effectively autonomously with a positive attitude. The Grounds Labourer will be responsible for the planting and maintenance of all gardens on the property and cutting of the grass, reporting to the Grounds Manager at Yellow Wood.

Weishaupt Design Group is searching for a Seasonal Grounds Labourer based out of the Caledon area to join our team for the summer. The Grounds Labourer is a self-motivated individual who has a strong interest in horticulture, the ability to work effectively autonomously with a positive attitude. The role involves planting and maintaining gardens on the property and grass cutting.
Responsibilities- Work closely with the Groundskeeping crew daily
- Plant and maintain the various flower and vegetable gardens
- Weekly grass cutting
- Ensuring all projects are completed within appropriate timelines
- General upkeep of properties to ensure all amenities are in good, working condition
- Proper disposal of garbage and debris from properties
- Supporting with the building and upkeep of trail infrastructure
- Additional duties and responsibilities as required
- Occasional shifts on weekends/holidays for animal care
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Valid G-class driver’s license
- Self-motivated with a high attention to detail
- Preferred experience in horticulture
- Preferred experience operating small tractors, riding mowers, trimmers, hand tools, and working with farm animals
- Safety footwear - Required
