Job Description The Market Development Manager (MDM) is responsible for driving sales growth by expanding the Independent Business through new customer acquisition and strategic partnerships. This role develops and executes business strategies to support company growth, identifies new market opportunities, and collaborates cross-functionally to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Key Job Responsibilities Are As Follows
  • Drive sales and revenue growth by prospecting and securing new business
  • Identify and convert competitive prospects, including single-store and multi-store operators
  • Support customer conversion and onboarding, including store changeover processes
  • Partner with leadership on succession planning and business continuity initiatives
  • Identify and recruit new entrepreneurs to join the CARQUEST store program
  • Evaluate and execute new store growth opportunities
  • Build strategic relationships with customers, partners, and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with company objectives and growth strategies
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, or a related field (preferred)
  • 10+ years of B2B sales experience
  • 4+ years of leadership experience in a sales role
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving or exceeding performance targets

Compensation Range

The range of expected compensation for this role is between 79,400.00 CAD and  CAD salary for a new team member. The rate offered to a successful candidate depends on multiple factors, including geographic location, experience in retail, automotive knowledge, education, leadership roles, and other skillsets ideal for this position and shift differential (if applicable).
