Shift
Monday – Friday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm

Salary
$47,000 – $65,000

Summary
We are actively searching for an Operations Supervisor. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Operations Supervisor will be responsible for all facets of the operations on the shift. This involves leading all aspects of health and safety, operational performance, customer relations, continuous improvement and people development.

Responsibilities

Schedule the labour requirements for the shift to ensure production goals are met within the budgeted cost structure.

Complete shift briefings to ensure the effective communication of relevant information to all employees.

Assign and follow up with operators and warehouse staff on the length of time required for tasks to be completed, noting task assignments and communicating approximate times of completion.

Ensure order sequences are picked based on priority shipments and priority customers, thus reducing waiting times for drivers, rush loads and late deliveries.

Hold team members accountable for following proper picking and packing procedures and for meeting or exceeding client quality standards.

Monitor, analyse and report daily/weekly departmental performance through effective KPI tracking and data collection for the shift.

Approve all labour hours daily using agile in adherence with company policies, maintain accurate record‑keeping and ensure proper payment of employees for the shift and cost allocation to customer accounts.

Provide daily feedback through coaching, administer performance appraisals and handle disciplinary situations appropriately and in a timely manner with supporting documentation.

Maintain close interaction with customers to develop strong relationships while assessing service requirements.

Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Fulfil the duties of a supervisor under the Occupational Health and Safety Act, including safety, violence and harassment laws.

Be accountable for monitoring, achieving and improving Performance/Activity Indicators (KPIs & KAIs) related to operational efficiency, quality and safety within the facility.

Assume additional related responsibilities as required.

Experience

Five (5) years distribution experience (3PL experience is an asset).

At least two (2) years of supervisory experience, preferably in a 3PL Operations role.

Computer literacy in MS software.

Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
