Audit and Accounts Senior

Stafford & Co. are a forward thinking firm of Chartered Accountants based in Bolton. We are looking to add a full time audit and accounts senior to help support our growing team and client base.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years practice experience and the role will include, but not be limited to, assisting management and training, motivation and review of junior team members in all areas as below:

• Audit Senior - review and updating audit programmes under supervision of audit manager.
• Preparation of Accounts for Sole Traders, Partnerships and Limited Companies
• Preparation of VAT Returns
• Preparation of payroll and CIS returns
• Preparation of Corporate Tax Returns
• Preparation of Personal Tax Returns

We are looking to speak to candidates who ideally meet the following criteria:

• Minimum of 2 years Accountancy Practice experience
• AAT qualified or finalist or ACA/ACCA part qualified
• Audit knowledge and understanding of audit work papers. Ideally 'Myworkpapers'
• Proficient in Xero, Sage and other accountancy software, also proficient in Microsoft Office especially with strong Excel skills
• An ability to work with a high degree of accuracy whilst under pressure and to meet deadlines and targets
• An ability to work autonomously in a relaxed and friendly working environment
