Looking for a role where you can take real ownership of audits while fast‑tracking your progression to Assistant Manager?
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Audit Senior to join a highly respected independent accountancy and advisory firm in the North West. The OpportunityAs an Audit Senior, you will take the lead on audit assignments from planning through to completion, acting as a key point of contact for clients and supporting the development of junior team members.
You will gain exposure to a broad range of sectors while building the leadership and commercial skills required to progress to Assistant Manager and beyond.
Key Responsibilities- Lead audit assignments on‑site and remotely, from planning to completion
- Manage audit fieldwork
, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met - Maintain compliance with UK auditing and accounting standards (FRS 102, IFRS)
- Supervise and mentor junior staff
, reviewing work and providing constructive feedback - Prepare audit findings reports
, identifying key risks and recommendations - Act as a primary point of contact for clients
, building strong working relationships - Manage resources effectively,
delegating tasks and monitoring progress - Work collaboratively across service lines to deliver a holistic client service
- Support continuous improvement and contribute to team development initiatives
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
- 3–6 years’ UK practice experience in audit and accounts
, including post‑qualified experience (PQE) - Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP (FRS 102) and IFRS
- Experience in leading audits and managing client relationships
- Proven ability to supervise and develop junior team members
- Strong understanding of risk assessment and audit methodology
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Experience with CCH, Inflo or similar audit software (advantageous but not essential)
