Facilities Manager Bolton Role Overview
The Facilities Manager will oversee the day-to-day facilities operation at Castlehill Centre, ensuring a safe, compliant and well-maintained environment.
You’ll manage planned and reactive maintenance, statutory compliance, lifecycle planning and projects, alongside services including security, cleaning and catering.
The role will also oversee contractors and health & safety standards, maintain accurate asset information, support lifecycle investment decisions and provide clear reporting to the client, ensuring services deliver strong performance and value for money.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the Facilities team and oversee the day-to-day delivery of services across the Centre.
- Ensure full compliance with Bellrock Group’s health, safety and environmental policies, maintaining safe systems of work for colleagues and subcontractors.
- Manage contract budgets, forecasting and expenditure, making commercially informed decisions and ensuring value for money.
- Plan and oversee statutory PPM and reactive maintenance, ensuring works are completed safely, professionally and within agreed KPIs.
- Manage subcontractor performance and ensure completed works meet required standards.
- Oversee the delivery of catering services, ensuring compliance with National School Food Standards.
- Maintain accurate job, asset, compliance and service records, ensuring systems and the helpdesk are kept up to date.
- Provide regular facilities and performance reporting to the Account Director.
- Provide technical guidance across gas and mechanical systems and support operational safety.
- Hold/provide relevant Authorised Person responsibilities across areas including confined spaces, L8, electrical works and fire safety.
- Build a strong relationship with the client and maintain high standards of service delivery across the contract.
- IT literacy essential (Word / Excel / CAFM usage)
- Member of IWFM or similar
- Experience in Facilities Management at contract level
- Excellent customer relationship skills
- Experience in the management of training of all team members and improving team performance.
- Experience of large complex heating and water systems
- Flexible work attitude and ability to adapt to client business demands
- Respectful and professional presentation always
- Good housekeeping and workplace organisation
- Previous Facilities Management experience across both hard and soft services.
- Good technical knowledge of building services with a practical, solutions-focused approach.
- Experience managing contractors, projects and multiple stakeholders.
- Strong client-facing and communication skills.
- Good understanding of health & safety, risk assessments and compliance, ideally supported by a relevant H&S qualification.
- Commercially aware, organised and comfortable using FM systems and technology.
- A proactive, adaptable approach with a genuine focus on improving service delivery.

In this role, the successful candidate would be required to work from Castlehill Centre, Bolton, Monday to Friday, 08:30-16:30.
