Role Description

This is a full‑time, on‑site Estimator role based in Horwich. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for projects, reviewing project specifications and drawings, and collaborating with project managers and engineers. Key responsibilities include obtaining and evaluating supplier quotations, preparing detailed cost reports, and participating in project meetings. The role will also involve regular communication with clients and suppliers to ensure the successful delivery of projects.

Qualifications and Experience

• Experience in cost estimation, budget analysis, and preparing project bids
• Proficiency in reviewing technical drawings and project specifications
• Strong skills in negotiation and supplier management
• Proficiency with estimation software and tools, and strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and organisational skills
• Familiarity with steel piling processes and construction projects is highly desirable but not essential.
• Ability to work on‑site and manage multiple projects with attention to detail
• Academic or vocational qualifications in engineering, construction, quantity surveying, or a related field are preferred
