Overview

Small Works Manager — Bolton. A long-established, family-owned construction contractor is appointing a Small Works Manager to support refurbishment, maintenance, and minor works projects across the North West. The role offers responsibility from enquiry through to completion, with multiple small projects managed simultaneously, liaising with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and site teams to ensure works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to a high standard.

• Lead end-to-end management and delivery of small works projects typically ranging from £1,000 to £30,000 across a diverse portfolio of commercial and industrial clients.
• Coordinate and communicate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and internal site teams to ensure project requirements are understood and met.
• Plan, monitor and control project safety, quality, schedule and budget, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company standards.
• Manage multiple projects concurrently, prioritising tasks, reporting progress, and addressing issues to minimise impact on delivery.
• Review drawings, specifications and scope of works; issue procurement and subcontractor orders where applicable; manage changes and variations in conjunction with clients and internal teams.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including schedules, progress reports, risk assessments and quality checks.

• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to prioritise and adapt to changing project demands.
