Position: Youth Worker – Level 2 NEW Council Posted today  £10,716-£10,857 Expires on 14/12/2025

Level 2 Youth Worker

Grade: JNC Pay Scale Level 2 (507-509)

Hours: 1x 16 hours per week (£10,716-£10,857 p/a) or 2x 8 hours per week (£5,358-£5,428 p/a)

Contract: Permanent, 18+, Evening and Weekends

Essential Requirements: Enhanced DBS check with barred list; JNC Recognised Youth Work Qualification

The Role

Engage a diverse range of young people (ages 4-17) in positive activities, providing support, advice and guidance on issues that affect them. Work with young people to develop their social education by delivering programmes of activities, services and facilities with learning outcomes.

  • Contribute to the planning, monitoring and evaluation of sessions.
  • Supervise and safeguard young people in a youth work setting, adhering to Bolton Council policies, procedures and guidance.
About You
  • Enthusiastic, approachable and capable of communicating effectively with young people aged 13-17.
  • Experience working with young people and building good relationships.
  • Willing to engage in a variety of activities such as sports, arts and crafts, games and project work.
  • Patient, tolerant and able to work with challenging young people.
  • Possesses a good level of spoken English.
