St Thomas CofE Primary School Westhoughton Bolton – Senior Clerical Assistant (Permanent)

Summer Term 1, Monday 20th April 2026.

Hours:

3.5 or 4 days per week (negotiable); 25‑28 hours per week, Monday and Thursday working hours.

Salary
  • SCP 11: 25 hours per week – £15,899 – £17,526; 28 hours per week – £17,807 – £19,629.
Role Description

The successful candidate will be based in our busy school office, meeting and greeting parents and visitors to our school. We are a one‑form entry school that includes a Nursery Unit. A professional and responsive manner is required for this exciting role, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities & Tasks
  • Provide general clerical support to the school office, ensuring efficient day‑to‑day operations.
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date school records, financial administration, and school office software (Bromcom and School Money or similar).
  • Prioritise workloads and adapt to changing demands.
  • Work under pressure, meeting deadlines as necessary.
  • Contribute to all aspects of school life.
Qualifications & Experience

Previous experience of working in a school office environment, including financial management and administration. Knowledge of school office software such as Bromcom and School Money (or similar). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a positive approach to working effectively with all members of our school community. Ability to work independently and as part of an effective team.
