The Headteacher and Governors wish to appoint an Administrative Assistant to join our hardworking and friendly team who can model outstanding knowledge and experience within a school office. The applicant will preferably be a practising Catholic and actively support, maintain and develop the faith and ethos of our Catholic school. The successful candidate will work jointly with the Headteacher, School Business Manager and Senior Leadership team to meet the many varying demands faced daily within the settling.
Primary purpose of job:
To provide administrative/organisational support for staff and the school under the direction/instruction of senior staff. Responsible to:
School Business Manager.
- Pro‑active, organised, approachable; with a friendly welcoming persona towards visitors, families and staff visiting our school;
- Positive, energetic, resilient, well‑mannered and an excellent communicator;
- Excellent communication skills at all levels with well‑developed ICT skills and experience of working with Microsoft Office.
- Willing to be involved in all aspects of school life to maintain and develop the faith life of the school.
- High expectations and a commitment to facilitating excellent support to pupils, staff and the school community;
- The ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of professional bodies within education;
- The ability to organise, support and maintain the use of information technology systems and software, for example Arbor.
- The ability to design, create, prepare and produce a range of complex documents from various sources and to specified deadlines;
- The desire to support pupils learning by monitoring attendance and communicating with parents to encourage excellent levels across school;
- The ability to identify projects and use initiative to react quickly to problem solving.
