A dedicated specialist SEMH school in Wigan is seeking a full-time SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their experienced team.

The Role

You will work with pupils who present SEMH needs, trauma-related behaviours, and additional learning difficulties. Supporting both 1:1 and in small groups, you will help deliver structured interventions, reinforce positive behaviour strategies, and build strong, trusting relationships that re-engage pupils with education.

This setting offers small class sizes, a therapeutic approach, and strong pastoral support. The SEMH Teaching Assistant role is ideal for candidates considering careers in psychology, youth justice, or alternative provision teaching.
