Maths Teacher – Permanent, full-time from September 2026

This Maths Teacher role offers the opportunity to work in a specialist secondary setting supporting pupils with autism, ADHD, and social, emotional, and mental health needs. The school provides a structured and nurturing environment where teaching is carefully adapted to support engagement, confidence, and progress. This role would suit a Maths Teacher who is passionate about inclusive education and confident delivering Maths in a way that is accessible, consistent, and supportive.

Duties

as Maths Teacher:
  • Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons adapted to meet a range of additional learning needs
  • Teach core Maths skills in a structured and accessible way
  • Differentiate lessons to support pupils with autism, ADHD, and SEMH needs
  • Create a calm, predictable, and supportive classroom environment
  • Use positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies consistently
  • Assess and track pupil progress, adapting teaching to support individual outcomes
  • Work closely with support staff and wider teams to deliver inclusive practice
  • Support pupils’ confidence, resilience, and engagement with Maths
  • Uphold safeguarding, welfare, and health and safety responsibilities at all times
Ideal Maths Teacher:
  • Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching Maths at secondary level
  • Background in SEND, PRU, alternative provision, or inclusive mainstream settings
  • Ability to adapt Maths teaching for pupils with additional needse
  • Calm, resilient, and flexible teaching approach
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Commitment to inclusive education and safeguarding
