Teaching Assistant. Education & Training

As a 1‑to‑1 Teaching Assistant at Witherslack Group, you will work with children and young people who have Autism Spectrum Disorder and Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. You will support their learning, development and confidence, working closely with teachers and therapists in a well‑resourced SEND environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing one‑to‑one support during lessons and activities.
• Assisting with the implementation of individualized learning plans.
• Encouraging and celebrating progress, aiming for the “huge small victories”.
• Collaborating with staff to create a positive and inclusive classroom culture.
• Maintaining accurate records and communicating progress to the teaching team.
