Immediate and September opportunities available. We are currently recruiting for a Trainee Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic and inclusive secondary school in Bolton.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands‑on classroom experience, particularly for those looking to progress into teaching, SEND support, pastoral roles, or educational psychology.

Located in the heart of Bolton, this secondary school serves a diverse and vibrant community.

Responsibilities
  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Provide targeted support to individuals or small groups of pupils.
  • Support the preparation of learning resources and classroom displays.
  • Monitor student progress and behaviour, helping to maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Participate in ongoing training, mentoring, and professional development.
  • Contribute to a comprehensive introduction to working in education, including regular feedback and CPD opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Strong communicators who work well within a team environment.
  • Reliable, organised, and proactive in their approach.
  • Open to learning and keen to develop professionally.
  • Previous experience working or volunteering with children or young people.
  • A genuine interest in pursuing a career in education or youth services.
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.

All pay rates quoted include 12.07% statutory holiday pay.

This is a temporary position, with the potential for a permanent role in some cases.
