Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a specialist provision in the Bolton area from September.

The setting supports students aged 11-18 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, alongside additional needs including Autism (ASC), ADHD, anxiety, attachment difficulties, trauma‑related behaviours, and challenging behaviour.

• Provide 1:1 and small‑group support.
• Support students with behaviour, emotional regulation, and engagement in learning.
• Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils.
• Assist with personalised learning and behaviour support plans.
• Support educational visits and community‑based activities.
• Promote independence, wellbeing, and social development.

• Experience working with young people with SEMH needs, challenging behaviour, youth work, care, or support work backgrounds.
• Calm, resilient, and proactive approach.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
