We are currently recruiting for a Graduate Teaching Assistant in Bolton to join welcoming secondary schools on a long-term, short-term, or temp-to-perm basis. This Graduate Teaching Assistant job in Bolton is ideal for aspiring teachers, psychology graduates, sports graduates, youth workers, and recent graduates looking to gain valuable classroom experience before progressing into teacher training or a career in education.

Your Main ResponsibilitiesSupporting students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups, responding to their individual learning needs
Delivering intervention and catch-up sessions to help students close learning gaps
Working alongside teachers to support lesson delivery and adapt learning resources where required
Promoting an inclusive classroom where every student feels supported and encouraged to succeed
Supporting students with SEN, SEMH, and additional learning needs where appropriate
Building positive relationships with students, teachers, and pastoral staff to improve engagement and confidence
A recent university graduate - all degree subjects considered
A genuine interest in pursuing a career in education or teaching
Recent experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential
Solid numeracy and literacy skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Comfortable taking direction from the class teacher and working collaboratively as part of a team
Based in or able to commute to Bolton
