About the Role

Bolton Talent Solutions is looking for an ambitious, talented, and enthusiastic
GCSE English Lecturer to join our flourishing team on a temporary basis at Bolton College

Starting from
September 2026
, this opportunity offers
consistent hours for an extended period of time.

You will deliver
high-quality, inclusive teaching and learning across
GCSE English
, with potential involvement in Functional Skills and community learning provision. You will support learners aged 16–18 to develop confidence in literacy, achieve their qualifications, and progress into further education or employment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive GCSE English lessons
• Adapt teaching to meet a wide range of learner needs and abilities
• Build a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Effectively manage learner behaviour to maximise engagement and progress
• Monitor learner progress and provide clear, constructive feedback
• Develop and utilise creative and interactive teaching resources
• Contribute to curriculum delivery, course development, and quality improvement
• Support achievement of departmental targets including retention and success rates

About You

Ideally, you will have:

• A relevant degree or equivalent qualification in English or a related subject
• A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent)
• Experience delivering GCSE English (FE or secondary setting preferred)
