Teaching Personnel is recruiting for a rewarding opportunity within a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the Bolton area. We are seeking a caring, patient, and enthusiastic Primary SEN Learning Mentor to support pupils aged 4-11 years with a range of additional needs, helping them to flourish both academically and personally.

Staff work collaboratively to ensure pupils feel valued, safe, and confident in their learning journey.

You will be supporting children with a variety of Special Educational Needs, including:

• Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
• ADHD
• Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
• Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
• Sensory processing difficulties

• Provide tailored 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEND.
• Assist in delivering engaging and inclusive learning activities.
• Support pupils' academic progress, emotional wellbeing, and social development.
• Promote positive behaviour, self-regulation, and resilience.
• Adapt learning resources to meet individual needs.
• Encourage independence, confidence, and participation in school life.
• Build strong relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues.

• Experience working with children in education, care, youth work, or support roles.
• Understanding of SEND, particularly ASC, ADHD, SEMH, and communication needs.
• A compassionate, patient, and proactive approach.
• Ability to remain calm and resilient in challenging situations.
• Passion for supporting children with additional needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
