SMT Engineer

We're hiring for an SMT Engineer to join a growing manufacturer based in Salford, leading the introduction of new and updated PCB assemblies into production.

• £38k p/a
• Mon‑Fri | 8 am – 4:30 pm

• Programming and setting up Mycronic SMT equipment (MY700 printer, MY300 pick & place)
• Creating new component packages and machine programs
• Managing ERP data and build documentation
• Validating PCB assemblies before release to volume production
• Providing DFM feedback to design engineers during prototype stages

• Strong experience in SMT assembly and production engineering
• Experience delivering SMT NPI builds in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to read schematics, layouts and BOMs
• Experience with PCB process improvement and yield analysis
• ERP system familiarity and strong IT skills
• HNC (or above) in Engineering
